Safe Harbor Crisis Center

City Prints is proud to support Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center’s Ninth Annual Fall Fundraiser with the donation of four City Prints. Safe Harbor is a 501© (3) not-for-profit grass roots organization. The Mission of Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center, Ltd. is to support, and respond to the needs of survivors of interpersonal violence, their dependents and family members in an effort to avoid further abuse. They provide services to children, the elderly, as well as male and female adult victims of interpersonal violence. Executive Director Kathleen J. Richardson us more about the organization below:

“Our services are provided free of charge, in a non-judgmental manner, regardless of race, age, sex, religion, ethnic origin, physical or mental ability, financial circumstances, sexual orientation, and past or present social problems. All survivors have the opportunity to evaluate and choose the alternatives that they feel best suit their situation; services provided do not reflect any specific political or religious movement.

Children in homes where domestic violence occurs are physically abused or seriously neglected at a rate of 1500% higher than the national average in the general population. Safe Harbor works with these at-risk children, providing quality services as well as therapy to aid in their healing. Due to the recent budget cuts we have had to cut back on some services. All proceeds from this event will fund direct services to our clients and their children. These children we are serving are our future. Abuse can damage their potential; their ability to contribute to not only our community but to society as a whole. When we provide services to these children and their families, we are making the world a better, safer place. By support us, you become part of that process.”
