Our Kids Soup Sunday

City Prints is proud to support the Our Kids Soup Sunday silent auction with a donation of our Nashville and LP Field City Prints. Board member Elizabeth B. tells us more about the organization below. Thanks for all you do Elizabeth!

“The Our Kids mission is to provide expert medical evaluations and crisis counseling services in response to concerns of child sexual abuse, and to increase community awareness, conduct research and offer education and training about child maltreatment. Our Kids is the only agency in Tennessee that provides these crucial services. Clinical staff is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, serving 44 counties in Middle Tennessee. Nurse practitioners and social workers respond to each child and family in 4 clinics across Middle Tennessee in Nashville, Cookeville, Lawrenceburg and Clarksville. One in four girls and one and seven boys will experience some form of sexual abuse before the age of 18, and over half of Our Kids patients are seven years of age and under. In the organizations 25 year history, Our Kids has examined more than 20,000 children.

Our Kid’s 20th Annual Soup Sunday will take place on February 24, 2013 in Nashville at LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans. Soup Sunday is one of Nashville’s most popular and delicious family events. More than 1,500 guests and celebrity judges will taste soups from more than 50 area restaurants, bid at the silent auction, and be entertained by a variety of children’s activities.

All the proceeds from Soup Sunday benefit Our Kids. More than $100,000 was raised at the event in 2012. A significant amount of the proceeds come from the silent auction, which is made possible through generous donations from companies such as City Prints. Thank you to Katie and Tony for your generous donation and support of Our Kids. Your contributions are invaluable as they allow Our Kids to continue to help children and families in the community. The success of Our Kids greatly depends on individual support and events like Soup Sunday. For more information about the organization please visit: http://ourkidscenter.org.”
